They are basically like a tabloid newspaper. They post this ridiculous articles with sensationalist headlines just to get their site hits up.
they got 2 anticipated games for both consoles and gave them low scores just to be "that" review that gave a great game a low score
And that isn't a fanboy comment.
It isn't a proven franchise yet. MGS4 and Halo 3 sold consoles because they had massive followings from previous games on older consoles. Killzone 1 was a mediocre game with no following. There isn't any Killzone 1 fans holding off on buying a Ps3 till K2 comes out like there would have been with MGS4 or Halo 3.
It will sell well but only among current Ps3 owners
How do you know it's all on the Xbox Division? Last time I checked, the Xbox Division is starting to be profitable for them. Whereas the Zune area isn't so profitable...so logically that area would bear the brunt of the cuts.
TBH I don't think there's room for fanboyism in the current climate...it's never good news when 1400 people are let go.

If Microsoft cuts a significant amount of jobs in their EMEA base in Ireland then Ireland will go running to the IMF...We're bankrupt as it is and Microsofty is the single biggest company-contributor to the exchequer

I bought a PS2 in January 2006 and was SUPER pissed when Sony wouldn't upgrade me to the PS3 for free when it came out a few months later...
Or how I bought my iPhone at Christmas 07 and Apple wouldn't upgrade me to the 3G for free when it came out 6 months later...

The Playstation brand is one of Sony's biggest brands and the Playstation division as a whole is still profitable so if any of you think they will axe the Ps3 then you're sadly mistaken

He didn't die. Your data carries over from the last game. I'd say his death was staged so he could operate better as a spectre. It mentions Kai and Ashley so I'm sure it checks to see which you let die in ME1 so it knows which character to be alive in ME2. Wrex is alive no matter what
